Total processing rate of aluminum plate intermediate cold rolling

2023-04-13

Under the conditions of aluminum sheet plasticity and equipment capacity, the total processing rate of intermediate cold rolling of aluminum sheet is generally as high as possible to maximize productivity. The principle for determining the total processing rate is:
(1) Fully utilize the plasticity of aluminum sheets, use a high total processing rate as much as possible, reduce intermediate annealing or other processes, shorten the process flow, improve productivity, and reduce costs;

(2) Ensure product quality, prevent edge cracking, band breakage, and surface quality deterioration caused by excessive total processing rate, and ensure that the total processing rate is not within the critical deformation range to avoid large grains and uneven grain size after annealing;
(3) Fully utilize equipment capabilities to ensure safe operation and prevent accidents such as damage to equipment components or burning of motors.
In actual production, the total processing rate of intermediate cold rolling is related to equipment structure, installation level, production methods, and process requirements. The total cold rolling processing rate of the same type of aluminum plate is usually higher on multi roll rolling mills and high automation equipment level rolling mills.
