Causes of Surface Scratches on Marine Aluminum Plates

2023-05-18

What are the factors that cause scratches on the surface of marine aluminum plates? There are impurities attached to the surface of marine aluminum plates or segregation of ingot components. When there is a large amount of segregation and floating objects on the surface of marine aluminum plates that have not been homogenized or have poor homogenization treatment effect, there is a certain amount of hard metal particles inside the aluminum plates. During the extrusion process, when the metal flows through the working strip, these segregation and floating objects or hard metal particles adhere to the surface of the working strip or cause damage to the working strip, ultimately causing scratches on the surface of the aluminum plate;

There are debris on the mold cavity or work strip, and the hardness of the mold work strip is low, which causes damage to the surface of the work strip during extrusion and scratches on the profile;
There are exposed metal or graphite strips on the discharge track or swing bed with relatively hard inclusions, which cause scratches on the surface of the profile when in contact with the aluminum plate;
When the fork rod is used to transport the profile from the discharge track to the swing bed, the aluminum plate is damaged due to excessive speed;
Scratches caused by manually dragging aluminum plates on the bed;
Damage caused by mutual friction or compression between aluminum plates during transportation. In addition, if the aluminum plate packaging is not good during transportation, it will also cause damage to its surface.
